Orlando, FL – July 1, 2024 – Rising tennis star Camilla Kostik has made an impressive run at the Orlando J60 tournament, held at the USTA National Training Center in Lake Nona, Florida. Competing in the Girls’ 18U Singles draw, Kostik advanced to the semi-finals.

Tournament Performance:

Semi-Finals: Kostik’s impressive run came to an end with a loss to Allison Wang, 6-4, 6-0.

Round of 64: Kostik defeated qualifier Anastasiya Papazian with a decisive 6-4, 6-2 victory.

Round of 32: In a notable upset, Kostik overcame the tournament’s #1 seed, Cookie Jarvis-Tredgett, ranked #434 in the World Junior Rankings, with a commanding 6-3, 6-2 win.

Round of 16: Kostik faced the 15th seed, Anastasia Pleskun, and secured a hard-fought victory with scores of 6-1, 1-6, 6-4.

Quarterfinals: Kostik advanced by defeating Caroline Shao in a thrilling three-set match, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1.
