Q&A with Mia
I used to be a huge fan of Federer because of his elegance, but Rafa has recently won me over. His work ethic is inspiring.
My dad taught me the value of hard work, and my mom always made me believe that my dreams are always within reach if I was truly willing to commit myself 100 %.
I wouldn’t say there is a specific opponent, a lot of girls have given me tough matches, and still do today.
I would say being part French, the atmosphere at Roland Garros is something else.
Depending on my goals for the day, it typically is around 4-5 hours of tennis and 1 hour of fitness.
.
Planning meals during tournaments can be tricky because match times vary, but I try to regularly eat throughout the day to make sure I am properly fueled for my matches, as well as paying attention to recovery after.
I like to take walks while listening to music, and spending time with my friends and family.
I am most excited to start working with the coaches and hearing their opinions on how I can improve my game, and also practicing with high level players everyday.
The emphasis they had on measuring progress in all aspects of your game really impressed me. It’s very important for me to know I’m consistently and continuously improving.
My goal is to be a fulfilled pro, and my dream is to be a grand slam champion.
